Responsibilities

Disinfects, sterilizes, and assembles surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.  Position is characterized by the ability to recognize surgical instruments and surgical instrument trays typically assembled in applicable area. 

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education.
  • KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

     

  • Central Service Technician Certification:
  • Inpatient sterile processing CRCST or CSPDT certification.
  • Outpatient sterile processing CRCST, CSPDT or CASSPT certification.
  • For GI Labs, CFER is acceptable.
  • For Surgical Services: Accepted into the Northside SPD Internship or a Graduate of an accredited program in Sterile Processing or a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program with less than 12 months experience.
  • Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
  • Work Hours:3 pm - 11:30 pmWeekend Requirements:NoEmployment Type: FULL_TIME
