Job Summary and Qualifications

Manages the daily support operations of Surgical Services with the assistance of various data systems.

Manages surgical equipment and instrumentation to include maintenance contracts, coordinating training on new equipment.

Conducts case cost analysis, independent analyses, assist the Administrative Director of Surgical Services, Surgical Services Leadership and Perioperative Leadership with requested reports.

Identifies and manages cost savings opportunities.

Manages the Surgical Services Resource Coordinator and coordinates with the Supply Chain Director on initiatives and projects.

Will work with the OR Manager and SPD Manager regarding equipment operations.

Provides oversight of the OR Schedulers and supports the OR Manager and OR Administrative Director in maintaining OR block scheduling and resource utilization.

Provides data to be used by the Specialty Experts to improve OR operations.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor of Nursing required, Masters Preferred either MSN or MHA. Certification in a related specialty Required. (CNOR or CSSM)

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Operating Room.

Ability to maintain a mature, professional manner and demonstrate sound judgment when dealing with vendor Representatives, OR Staff, Physicians, and Hospital Staff.

Computer skills to include MS Office suite.

Performance Improvement experience preferred.
