Job description

Hexcel is currently seeking a Web Conversion Print Operator for our Casa Grande, AZ, USA location. Start rate: $29.55 Per Hour during the New Hire Orientation Period - normally 90 calendar days, then increases to $32.21 Per Hour. This position is on Grave shift (11:00PM to 7:00AM, Monday - Friday + O/T as required) and pays a $1.75 per hour shift premium. Note that the workday on Grave shift is designated by the day the shift ends.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Sets up and operates the #7 Printline and the 335 Printline.
  • Processes treated aluminum foil.
  • Prints, sheets, and applies adhesive to Nomex, Korex, and glass pre-preg.
  • Obtains raw materials pertinent to #7 Printline or 335 Printline operation from respective areas.
  • Monitors print line operation to assure adhesive is applied in a consistent manner.
  • Records SPC data during process.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year experience required preferably in manufacturing. Previous Hexcel experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient in use of tape measure and ruler.
  • Basic working knowledge of computer data entry function required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
