Location: This is an 100 % onsite role in Spring, Houston, TX

About the job you're considering

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented GIS Analyst to support geospatial initiatives involving mapping, spatial data preparation, geospatial analysis, and data integration. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in ArcGIS Pro (ArcPro), spatial data management, cartographic design, and geospatial analytics.

This role will focus on preparing, transforming, validating, and visualizing spatial datasets while ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency across multiple GIS workflows.

Your Role:

GIS & Spatial Analysis

  • Develop and maintain GIS datasets using ArcGIS Pro.
  • Perform spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and data validation.
  • Create maps, dashboards, and geospatial visualizations.
  • Conduct spatial operations such as joins, overlays, buffering, and network analysis.

Data Management & Integration

  • Manage spatial and non-spatial data from multiple sources.
  • Support data migration and integration across GIS, databases, and external systems.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and metadata compliance.
  • Maintain geodatabases and support data governance initiatives.

Database & Technical Support

  • Develop SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
  • Integrate GIS data with enterprise databases and reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver geospatial solutions.
  • Automate GIS workflows using Python, ArcPy, or ModelBuilder.

Mapping & Visualization

  • Produce high-quality maps, reports, and presentations.
  • Design cartographic outputs that communicate spatial insights effectively.
  • Support ad hoc mapping and geospatial analysis requests.
Your skills and experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of professional experience in GIS analysis and geospatial data management.
  • Strong hands-on experience with ArcGIS Pro (ArcPro).
  • Candidates with experience in SQL, Python scripting, enterprise databases, and large-scale geospatial data environments are required.
  • Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Investment Banking, Financial Services, Energy, or Oil & Gas industries will be an advantage.
  • Experience performing spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and cartographic production.
  • Proficiency in managing geodatabases and GIS data models.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is:$73,150 - $174,000/year

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
