Job description

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a GIS Analyst for our Geographic Information Systems Department in Wall, NJ.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and analyze spatial datasets in support of engineering, planning, and environmental projects.
  • Produce high-quality cartographic products, exhibits, and mapping deliverables for proposals, reports, and public presentations.
  • Perform spatial analyses, including proximity, overlay, network, and terrain modeling.
  • Support field data collection efforts using GPS and mobile GIS applications.
  • Manage and organize GIS data to ensure accuracy, currency, and consistency across projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and environmental scientists to integrate GIS into project workflows.
  • Assist in the development of automated GIS processes and tools to increase efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering, Planning, or related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of professional GIS experience, preferably within the A/E/C (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry.
  • Experience with utility asset inventory management systems for tracking, maintaining, and managing infrastructure assets.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and related ESRI software.
  • Experience with GPS data collection and mobile GIS applications.
  • Knowledge of spatial analysis techniques, coordinate systems, and data management best practices.
  • Familiarity with CAD/GIS integration is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Compensation
