Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a 1st shift contract position, lasting 6 to 9 months, at our Sparta, Michigan location. This role involves maintaining, servicing, and repairing plant equipment, performing preventive maintenance (PM), and completing work orders. No weekends are required, as we have a dedicated weekend shift crew.

  • Maintain and service mechanical equipment, machinery, and components.
  • Perform skilled repair services on mechanical, electrical, and building systems and equipment.
  • Conduct periodic inspections to evaluate repair requests.
  • Identify and order necessary replacement parts.
  • Supervise the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of switches, cables, and other equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with company requirements.
  • Schedule and coordinate installation support and service operations.
  • Complete all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Essential Skills

  • At least 3 years of industrial machine repair experience.
  • Experience in hydraulic repair.
  • Proficiency in repairing conveyors, fillers, labelers, and sensors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Food manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
