Position: Interim Spanish Teacher

Employment Type: Full-Time (appx. 3 months)

Pay Type: Salary


Palm Beach Day Academy, established in 1921, is an independent coeducational school, serving almost 600 students from age 2 yrs. through 8th Grade on two campuses. The Lower School in West Palm Beach serves ages 2 yrs. through 3rd Grade. The Upper School, located on the island of Palm Beach, serves 4th through 8th grades. The Upper School is currently seeking an Interim Spanish Teacher for the 2026-27 school year ( Mid-October through December tentatively). Applicants should enjoy working in a collaborative, student-centered environment and be skilled in providing Spanish Classes for students in Grades 4-8. Courses range from Introduction to Spanish through Spanish I.

In addition, a successful candidate will:


Successfully design instruction, creating engaging lessons in Spanish grammar, conversation, reading, vocabulary and geography

Be passionate about teaching and celebrating Spanish - language and culture

Possess strong classroom management skills to create and maintain a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment

Participate in additional duties during the academic day including but not limited to advising and monitoring students to actively      participating in faculty meetings and professional development

Utilize a variety of teaching tools and methods to effectively differentiate learning

Possess organizational skills

Possess excellent written and verbal skills

Possess the ability to collaborate professionally with colleagues and parents

Requirements

Job Requirements:

Fluency level in Spanish

Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Teaching or a related field

Master's Degree Preferred


Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Spanish Teacher is preferred
