Position:
We are currently seeking a Spanish Teacher.The ideal Spanish Teacher candidate will bring a passion for the mission of Excellence Community School, an understanding and respect for various cultures, and a passion for working in an urban school setting that fosters a love for children.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement curricula and activities to meet academic standards.
  • Design and implement assessments that measure progress towards academic standards.
  • Use assessment data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices.
  • Participate in collaborative curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions.
  • Provide consistent rewards and/or consequences for student behavior.
  • Be accountable for students' mastery of academic standards.
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required
  • At least 1 year of Spanish Teacher experience is required.
  • Connecticut State Certification in Spanish required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

  • Salary Range: ($53,235- $118,163). Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
