About the RoleThe Propulsion Engineer I role involves assisting in the design, development, and evaluation of propulsion systems, subsystems, and components for space vehicles, including launch vehicles, spacecraft, and related technologies. This entry-level position provides an opportunity to gain valuable experience under the guidance of experienced professionals. In this role, you will assist in the design and development of propulsion systems, subsystems, and components for space vehicles, including launch vehicles, spacecraft, and related technologies. You will help develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure propulsion designs meet project requirements and standards. Conducting tests and simulations to validate the performance of propulsion systems and components will be a key part of your responsibilities, along with documenting design processes, test results, and modifications for future reference. You will provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for propulsion systems and components and stay updated with the latest advancements in propulsion engineering, applying new knowledge to ongoing projects. Additionally, you will participate in team meetings, contributing to project planning and progress discussions, and follow instructions from senior engineers while working effectively in a team environment. Clear communication of technical concepts and information, both verbally and in writing, will be essential to ensure collaboration and project success.About You

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).
  • Typically entry-level 0 - 2 years of experience.
  • Basic understanding of Propulsion Engineering.
  • Basic application and use of technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts.
  • Ability to help develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity.
  • Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from senior engineers.
  • Clear verbal and written communication of technical concepts and information.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Internship or co-op experience in propulsion engineering or a related field.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  • Basic proficiency in using engineering design software and tools such as CAD, FEA, or CFD.
  • Basic understanding of propulsion system components and their functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Compensation:

Pay Range:

$70,213.00 - $96,542.50

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education,experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
