We are a technology solution provider specialized in data center white space design and fit outs.Β Our services span the full lifecycle of white space delivery, including space planning, overhead support systems, electrical power distribution, redundancy and power striping strategies, conduit and cable pathway infrastructure, and low-voltage structured cabling.Β

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Field Project Manager with deepΒ expertiseΒ in the design, build-out and commissioningΒ of hyperscale data center white space electrical systems. This roleΒ is responsible forΒ translating design intent and client requirements into safe, reliable, and high-quality field execution. You will be onsite daily, leading subcontractors, managing schedules, ensuring quality control, and owning the successful delivery of electrical power distribution systems from upstream critical equipment to IT loads.Β

This is a hands-onΒ project managerΒ role for a technically strong professional who can both design electrical distribution solutions and manage their construction in the field.Β

Location:Β ThisΒ home base for thisΒ positionΒ will beΒ Northern Virginia. Some travelΒ mayΒ beΒ required,Β but most work will be onsite at local data centers.Β
Compensation: This is a full-time salaried role offering $140,000-$170,000 commensurate with experience, full benefits, project bonuses, paid travel, and advanced training.

Key ResponsibilitiesΒ

Project & Construction ManagementΒ

  • Own project scope, quality, schedule, and budget for data center white space electrical construction projects.Β
  • Serve as the primary on-site representative, coordinating daily activities with electrical subcontractors.Β
  • Interface directly with general contractors and subcontractors during bidding, award, execution, close-out, and punch-list phases.Β
  • Monitor and update construction schedules, communicate progress and risks, and manage client expectations.Β
  • Identify, negotiate, and documentΒ scopeΒ changes, change orders, andΒ justifiedΒ schedule extensions.Β
  • Drive troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for construction and equipment-related issues.Β

Field Execution & Trade CoordinationΒ

  • Oversee electrical subcontractors and ensure proper sequencingΒ and trade stacking across all disciplines.Β
  • Lead overall construction quality control, perform field quality inspections,Β and enforce Align and client standards.Β
  • Verify installation accuracy and readiness for testing, commissioning, and turnover.Β
  • Support commissioning activities and resolve construction-related issuesΒ identifiedΒ during testing.Β
  • Ensure installed systems match approved designs and that final "as-built" conditions meet Align, client, and engineering standards.Β

Documentation & StandardsΒ

  • Prepare andΒ maintainΒ project documentation including statements of work, budgets, schedules, status reports, design documents, drawing markups, and commissioning deliverables.Β
  • Update andΒ maintainΒ internal design specifications, drawings, and standards based on lessons learned and evolving best practices.Β
  • Support procurement activities including scope definition, bid clarification, and vendor coordination.Β

Electrical DesignΒ SupportΒ

  • Gather and translate client electrical requirements into design criteria andΒ collaborate with electrical engineering firms and electrical contractors toΒ finalizeΒ designs and ensure alignment with client requirements, codes, and standards.Β
  • Help withΒ the design of electrical power distribution systems for hyperscale data center white space projectsΒ including (but not limited to):Β
  • Whip, RPP, busway systems, PDU's, STS, Catcher SystemsΒ
  • Power redundancy and distribution strategies from PDUs to cabinet receptaclesΒ
  • Overhead and underfloor electrical pathwaysΒ
  • Develop conceptual designs, requirements, specifications, estimates, and bills of materials (BOMs) for white space power distribution systems.Β

Required QualificationsΒ

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline OR 5+ years of equivalent construction management experience in lieu of a degree.Β
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing large, complex, mission-critical electrical construction projects,Β with a strong focus on data centersΒ (ideally workingΒ withΒ 10+ Megawatt sized projects).Β
  • Must haveΒ demonstratedΒ expertiseΒ in data center electrical topology and a strong understanding of electrical principles related to data centersΒ
  • ExperienceΒ with theΒ commissioning of electrical systemsΒ andΒ overseeingΒ installation ofΒ hyperscale data center white space electrical power distribution systemsΒ (distributed redundant, catcher, block redundant)Β
  • Proven ability to:Β
    • Gather client electrical requirementsΒ
    • Develop BOMs and estimates for white space electrical systems (e.g.,Β Whips, RPPs,Β Connector Types, Busway)Β
    • Lead electrical design coordination with engineers and contractorsΒ
