Southern Health Partners is seeking a compassionate and experienced Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to provide onsite behavioral health services at the Morgan County Detention Center. This flexible, part time opportunity is ideal for a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychiatric Registered Nurse who is passionate about improving mental health outcomes while maintaining work life balance.
In this role, you'll work alongside an experienced medical team to assess, support, and guide patients experiencing behavioral health needs in a secure correctional healthcare environment. Your expertise will help provide stability, hope, and continuity of care for an underserved population.
What You'll Do
  • Provide onsite behavioral health assessments and evaluations.
  • Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans.
  • Respond to mental health referrals and collaborate with the interdisciplinary medical team.
  • Assist with crisis intervention, behavioral health education, and continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Ensure services meet professional standards and correctional healthcare guidelines.
  • Provide all care onsite at the facility. This position does not offer remote or telehealth services.

Qualifications
  • Current Georgia license as one of the following:
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
    • Registered Nurse with psychiatric/behavioral health experience
  • Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, counseling, or correctional healthcare preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with the healthcare team.
  • Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
