YOUR ROLE AS A VUI'S KITCHEN SHIFT LEADER: 

  • Serving guests, making meaningful connections with them
  • Opening & closing tasks
  • Being responsible for the restaurant and the team working when a manager isn’t on duty.
  • Setting the tone for the shift and giving clear, calm directions to your team about their duties 
  • Mastering menu and product knowledge
  • Supporting or working stations when needed (kitchen included)
  • Prepping food and doing side work
  • Following proper cash handling and payment procedures
  • Maintaining Health Department Standards throughout each shift 
  • Proper food handling and storage of food products
  • Maintaining proper hygiene, uniform and appearance

THE IDEAL TEAM MEMBER:

  • Must be 21 years of age. 
  • Prior food service experience preferred. 
  • Leadership, guest service, and verbal communication skills with guests / team members 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks and priorities.

YOUR WORKING CONDITIONS/HOURS:

A typical workday at Vui's Kitchen may look like:

  • Morning shift - 8am - 4pm
  • Evenings - 4pm - 9:30pm
  • Weekends- when applicable
  • Holidays - when applicable (CLOSED Thanksgiving & Christmas)

*Hours will vary by store.

You may work in a typical restaurant kitchen environment which includes but is not limited to using equipment such as a char grill, oven, slicer, mixer and food processor.
