About the Company:
Founded in 2017 by Anthony and Joe Russo, AGBO is an artist-led independent studio shaping the future of film and television. The Russo Brothers and AGBO have generated more than $7 billion at the global box office, including Avengers: Endgame. The studioโ€™s projects include Academy Awardโ€“winning Everything Everywhere All at Once, Netflix hits The Gray Man and Extraction, and Prime Videoโ€™s visceral thriller The Bluff and the global Citadel franchise. Weโ€™re building the future of storytellingโ€”and weโ€™re looking for bold, creative minds to help shape it. If youโ€™re ready to help define what comes next, weโ€™d love to meet you. Position Summary: AGBO is looking for an Audio Director to set the creative and technical bar for audio across games โ€“ building signature SFX, shaping dialogue and music, and solving implementation problems inโ€‘engine. Youโ€™ll partner directly with game directors to make sure audio drives story and gameplay feel, and youโ€™ll define the pipelines and stands that scale as our slate grows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the endโ€‘toโ€‘end audio vision for interactive projects from preโ€‘production through ship
  • Collaborate with game directors, narrative designers, and production teams to ensure audio supports gameplay, story, and pacing
  • Define the audio team's core tools, workflows, and technical standards so the team can work efficiently and consistently as the company and project scales
  • Own the implementation of audio inโ€‘engine in close partnership with programmers and engineers
  • Manage relationships with external audio studios and freelance sound designers
  • Set and manage audio budgets, schedules, and resourcing
  • Establish and evolve audio pipelines, tools, and best practices that scale
  • Set and uphold quality bars for mixing, spatial audio, and platformโ€‘specific audio requirements
  • Represent audio in crossโ€‘departmental creative reviews

  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5-8 years of professional audio design experience, with a strong portfolio of shipped projects
  • Deep proficiency with audio middleware (Wwise, FMOD, MetaSounds) and DAWs (pro tools, Reaper, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of Unreal Engine and how audio integrates with realโ€‘time systems
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Reel or portfolio demonstrating range across sound design and music integration

Additional Information:

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
