HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE BIG PICTURE:
As a Producer for EWTN News Nightly, you will play a key role in shaping a trusted, mission-driven daily newscast covering local, national, and international news viewed across the globe. You will work closely with the editorial team to produce timely, accurate, and compelling content under strict daily deadlines. Your work directly supports EWTN's mission of delivering faithful, pro-life, and Catholic-centered news to millions of viewers.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
You will produce discussion segments on national and international news from a Catholic perspective, writing clear and engaging news stories that meet EWTN's high editorial standards.
You will collaborate with the Executive Producer, Host, and editorial staff regarding guests, conducting extensive research and preparing thoughtful discussion questions. You will pitch original story ideas that align with current affairs and would make strong discussions or news segments.
You will select videos, sound bites, graphics, and still photos for the broadcast, and collaborate with pre- and post-production teams to ensure each show is both editorially sound and visually appealing.
ABOUT YOU:
You bring 3-5 years of experience in TV broadcast production or programming, ideally within a local or national newsroom.
You are an excellent broadcast writer with strong news judgment and meticulous attention to detail.
You have a demonstrated understanding of the Catholic Faith and how it informs EWTN's programming goals. You stay well-versed in local, national, and international news, including key life issues relevant to EWTN's global audience.
You communicate clearly with control room staff, reporters, and guests, and you troubleshoot production challenges with confidence. You are fluent across social media platforms, quick to grasp new concepts, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
You are able to work a flexible schedule, including occasional nights or weekends for breaking news and special event coverage.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
You are proficient in languages in addition English, with a strong preference for Spanish and/or Italian. You bring intermediate to advanced skills in broadcast software programs, preferably ENPS or iNews and have earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT WORKING HERE:
  • We offer a career with purpose! Apply your God-given talents, knowing your contributions help to advance EWTN's mission of sharing the Gospel with the world.
  • Caring environment. We value the importance of family/life balance and welcome you as an EWTN family member, not just an employee.
  • Worship at work! Freedom to participate in Mass, visit the chapel for prayer and attend an annual retreat.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability insurance and Retirement Savings Plan.
  • 11 Paid Holidays and generous Paid Time Off program.
  • Tuition reimbursement for online continuing education and degree programs through our partnership with Catholic International University.
  • Ability to learn alongside legacy employees while bringing new ideas to the growing team!
