This is a professional, in-house videographer role for someone who already operates at a solid technical level and is comfortable working inside a structured, SOP-driven production environment.

We are looking for someone who can independently execute high-quality video work while following clearly defined workflows, standards, and delivery timelines.

About the Role

The Shabby Fabrics Video Department produces long-form tutorials, product launches, and marketing content for one of the most trusted education libraries in the quilting and sewing industry.

Our video department operates on a documented, process-driven workflow designed to ensure consistency, quality, and reliability at scale. As a Commercial Videographer, you will be responsible for executing your role within that system, from capture through final delivery, while collaborating closely with the broader creative team.

Success in this role requires strong fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently meet expectations and deadlines within an established production framework.

What You'll Do
  • Based on the marketing calendar, independently shoot and edit video content from planning through final delivery
  • Set up and operate professional camera, lighting, and audio equipment
  • Capture clean, consistent footage in a controlled studio environment
  • Edit long-form tutorials, short-form, and marketing content using Adobe Premiere Pro on a Mac Studio
  • Follow documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for filming, file management, editing, and delivery
  • Meet defined production timelines and delivery deadlines
  • Select appropriate music, sound design, and effects that align with brand standards
  • Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency across deliverables

You must be comfortable operating within a structured workflow and value process as a tool for producing high-quality creative work.

Experience Level & Technical Requirements

This role assumes minimum of 3 years of professional video production experience.

You should be comfortable:

  • Manual camera operation and exposure control
  • Lighting for consistency across multiple shoot days
  • Capturing clean, intelligible dialogue
  • Composing shots intentionally for long-form educational content
  • Editing with restraint and attention to continuity

Required skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Experience shooting and editing branded, educational, or commercial video content
  • Solid understanding of composition, exposure, color, and audio fundamentals

Bonus skills (not required):

  • Product photography, editing in Lr & Ps
  • Familiarity with social platform deliverables
  • Motion Graphic experience

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
