Job Summary:

The Material Handler plays a crucial role in the efficient functioning of sorting and shipping operations. Responsibilities include moving and sorting materials, maintaining cleanliness in work areas, and ensuring proper logistics for store shipments and auction items. The associate will:

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Pull and manage equipment, sorting materials for optimal processing and ensuring a steady workflow.
  • Operate equipment to organize and deliver merchandise to designated areas, while maintaining adequate supplies to prevent production delays.
  • Facilitate the transfer of items to and from various departments, including auction preparation and textile order management.
  • Assistbailer operator.
  • Record inventory and maintain accurate documentation per established protocols.
  • Uphold safety standards by consistently wearing personal protective equipment (PPE),which may includesafety toed shoesand adhering to company safety policies,participatingin training sessions and meetings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Usesappropriate equipmenttoload and unload trucks and trailers.

Requirements:

  • Review and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Carry out other assigned tasks.
  • Additional duties may include assisting colleagues, performing general upkeep of work areas, and supporting other logistics-related functions as needed. This position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive environment.

Educational Requirements:

  • On-the-job training is over a period up to and including three (3) months.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting to 50 lbs. and pushing/pullingup to 100 lbs., standing, bending, and reaching.
