Job description

Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and executing repairs to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on various systems, including pneumatic and mechanical systems
  • Utilize hand and power tools to effectively complete maintenance tasks and repairs
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
  • Always ensure use of PPE (personal protective equipment) and tools designed and rated for the task, and complying with safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, relevant skills and proven work experience in lieu of education
  • 1+ year(s) in a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance repair techniques
  • Proficiency with common hand and power tools. Must provide own hand tools
  • Must be able to thoroughly complete paperwork/documents
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems and advanced troubleshooting preferred
  • Associate’s degree in industrial maintenance is a plus
