TikTok Shop - Sortation Operations Supervisor, Sort Center

Responsibilities

TikTok Shop Sorting Center is dedicated to maximizing sorting efficiency and standardizing operations across our national distribution centers. By leveraging data-driven insights and rigorous quality monitoring, we ensure every parcel moves faster and reaches our customers sooner. The Sortation Operations Supervisor leads daily operations within the facility's automated sortation area, including Matrix and Cross Belt Sorter systems, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient package processing. This role requires a strong understanding of automated sortation workflows, exception management, sortation accuracy, and throughput optimization to drive operational performance and system reliability. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily operations within the automated sortation area, including matrix and cross belt sorter systems, ensuring safe and efficient execution of all sorting activities.
  • Monitor and drive key operational metrics, including throughput, sort accuracy, on time processing, and operational efficiency.
  • Investigate operational exceptions such as unreadable barcodes, missing shipment data, damaged packages, and sorter misroutes, and drive timely resolution through root cause analysis.
  • Partner closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and IT teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, conveyor disruptions, system failures, and sorter logic exceptions.
  • Coordinate real time operational responses to equipment downtime, chute blockages, and other operational disruptions to minimize service impact.
  • Analyze sortation performance data and quality metrics to identify trends, improve operational reliability, and reduce missorts and package losses.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to optimize sortation flow, equipment utilization, and overall productivity.
  • Lead, coach, and develop frontline operators and Team Leads while promoting a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or above.
  • 3+ years of experience in sortation, fulfillment, parcel logistics, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience managing frontline operations in a high volume, fast paced environment.
  • Experience working with automated material handling equipment, conveyor systems, or sortation technologies.
  • Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills with the ability to make decisions in real time operational environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating or managing Cross Belt Sorters, Tilt Tray Sorters, Matrix Sortation systems, or other automated sortation technologies.
  • Experience in parcel, e commerce, or last mile logistics networks.
  • Familiarity with WMS, sortation control systems, and operational performance reporting tools.
  • Experience partnering with Maintenance, Engineering, or IT teams to support automated operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using operational data to drive performance improvements.
  • Experience leading diverse teams in multilingual and multicultural environments.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $97200 - $151200 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure). The Company reserves the right to modify or change these benefits programs at any time, with or without notice.
