Job description

The Purchased Materials Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving and processing purchased inventory, ensuring accurate handling and timely movement of merchandise to the sales floor. This role supports store operations by maintaining organized inventory, pricing items, and merchandising products to create an appealing shopping experience.

  • Receive purchased materials and verify accuracy against purchase orders.
  • Sort, process, and price merchandise according to company standards.
  • Move merchandise to the sales floor promptly and assist with merchandising displays.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and provide accurate data to assist store management in purchasing decisions and inventory planning
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
  • Assist with loading/unloading trucks as needed.
  • Comply with all safety, security, and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform housekeeping duties and monitor recycling bins.
  • Cross-train in other store functions and assist as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily goals.
  • Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Technologically proficient with the ability to accurately enter inventory into the point of sale / Inventory management systems
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 80 lbs frequently.
  • Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
