Job description

Retail Associate

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Retail Associate to join our team at The UPS Store in Enid. The Retail Associate will support the store in all aspects of center operations. This position is ideal for someone who is a self-starter, has retail experience, and a passion for providing world-class customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Center Manager(s) and collaborate closely to ensure smooth store operations.
  • Support the Center in achieving revenue projections, meeting sales targets, and driving profitability.
  • Proactively and professionally resolve customer complaints or concerns.
  • Oversee store cleanliness, safety, and organization, ensuring a welcoming customer environment.
  • Ensure compliance with center imaging, display areas and sanitation.
  • Assist in inventory control by monitoring inventory levels, filling out inventory order forms, restocking supplies and communicating needs to manager.
  • Willingness to learn all the store’s services and products, assisting customers with accurate, thorough information, including processing packages for shipment and operating equipment and use of other store tools.
  • Cross-train to learn printing sales, production, and finishing tasks.
  • Accurately perform daily opening and closing procedures as well as other various accounting functions.
  • Assist with cash handling, bank deposits, and recording all sales transactions on POS.
  • Maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance adhering to the uniform policy (Employee responsible for black pants, dark shoes without logos. Employer will provide uniform shirts).
  • Receive, sort, and place mail in mailbox modules accurately.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of customer service experience in a retail environment.
  • Customer-centric mindset with the ability to use tact and diplomacy in maintaining harmonious relationships with customers and coworkers.
  • Proficient in using computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly, stand for extended periods, and have manual dexterity to operate the cash register, clear paper jams, and fill out customer paperwork.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and some holidays.
  • Able to become a notary and notarize customer documents when appropriate, according to Oklahoma state requirements.

Compensation:

  • Hourly Pay: Starting at $15.00 per hour, with a 90-day probationary period and 6-month review. Opportunities for advancement.
