They typically work for companies like Amazon or other logistics firms, ensuring that items are accurately sorted based on their destination or shipping requirements. Sort Associates play a key role in making sure packages move quickly and efficiently through the supply chain. Their duties may include scanning barcodes, lifting and moving packages, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a sort associate, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Sort Associate, you need strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and the physical ability to stand and lift for extended periods, usually requiring a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanners, and conveyor belts is typically necessary.
