Description

JOB SUMMARY: The AHFH ReStore Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, sorting, processing and pricing donated merchandise in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

This role ensures timely movement of goods to the sales floor, provides excellent donor service and supports store operations.

  • Works in collaboration with supervisor and staff to implement organizational strategic goals
  • Demonstrates self-motivation, flexibility and efficient time management

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide exceptional customer and donor service; greet donors and issue receipts
  • Adheres to all organizational safety policies and procedures, including OSHA guidelines, and actively contributes to maintaining a safe warehouse environment.
  • Safely unload donations and operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack, dollies).
  • Sort, process and price merchandise according to company standards; identify high-value and recyclable items.
  • Maintain accurate donation records and oversee recycling bins
  • Ensure merchandise is expedited to the sales floor promptly.
  • Assist with loading/unloading trucks and perform housekeeping duties
  • Comply with all security and organizational policies.
  • Work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
  • Cross train and assist in other store functions as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED; or 4 years of related experience
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse, donation center, construction, or retail environment
  • Experience safely handling, moving, and staging furniture, appliances, or building materials
  • Familiarity with basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, or hand trucks
