Our MCHS Echo department continues to grow in innovation, education, and technology, and we are looking for amazing Cardiac Sonographers to join our team.
Competently performs complete echocardiographic studies integrating all cardiac echo imaging modalities and procedures necessary to obtain all pertinent patient data. Documents patient data and echo exam information completely and accurately utilizing the Echo Information Management System and other necessary computer applications. Functions independently while using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to obtain a comprehensive echocardiogram. Collaborates with Lead Cardiac Sonographers, Advanced Cardiac Sonographers, Echocardiographers, Physicians, and other team members to assist in interpretation of echocardiographic findings. Assists in the orientation, training, and education of all levels of trainees, students, and visitors assigned to Cardiovascular Services. Expectations extend to includes stress lab and stress echo lab procedures, and outreach. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality care appropriately to the age of the patient included neonate to geriatric patient populations. Demonstrates flexibility in learning all equipment, imaging specialties, and echocardiography procedures. Must understand sterile procedures and isolation precaution techniques and must exercise proper precautions to avoid protentional exposures to radiation, infectious hazards, and sharp instruments. Is accountable to demonstrate proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate competencies list. Must be able to tolerate frequent walking, standing, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to reach above shoulder level and endure occasional twisting and turning. Must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing. Must be able to hear at ordinary conversation level, and possess good visual acuity.

Qualifications
Associates degree or Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited sonography program required.
Must have knowledge of cardiac pathophysiology, diagnostic procedures, and patient care procedures. Experience with outreach services helpful. Proven ability to work with co-workers, physicians, and all levels of healthcare professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:
One-year of cardiac experience is preferred and be registry eligible. Minimum of one-year experience in adult and pediatric cardiac sonography including experience with transesophageal and stress echo, preferred.
Licensure or Certification:
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), or registry eligible for RDCS or RCS. Registry eligible employees must obtain RDCS or RCS within one year of hire.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Valid Minnesota and/or Wisconsin driver`s license.
