Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be a pivotal member of our cardiac team, performing crucial diagnostic testing to accurately diagnose and guide the treatment of patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.
Every day, you will apply your independent judgment and advanced technical skills to perform state-of-the-art imaging procedures for patients presenting with conditions such as heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, and acute myocardial infarction, supporting decisions from minimally invasive interventions to major structural repairs.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a solid understanding of echocardiography imaging equipment, master proper patient positioning techniques, and expertly produce and analyze high-quality cardiac ultrasound images. Above all, you will continuously strive to deliver an exceptional and positive experience to our patients and their caregivers.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduation from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP)
  • Accredited through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
    • Thirty (30) continuing medical education credits are required every three (3) years to maintain ARDMS credential
  • Training in cardiovascular sonography; and extensive knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and physics
  • Ability to assist immobile and/or disabled patients
  • Ability to use reasoning and deduction in making medical judgments and to use sound judgement in the face of emergencies
  • Ability to be patient, flexible and maintain a high level of professional behavior required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
