Position: Spiral Technician
Pay: $24.51/hr
Shift: 3rd

While reporting to the shift supervisor you will work in production for our tube and core division and be responsible for working in a quick and safe manner. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. You must have a proven record of success in a fast-paced environment. You must have the ability to work with various teams and have a good eye to spot defects in the packing line. You will take pride in your personal hands-on and analytical abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
What you'll be doing:
  • This position will be required to learn and assist all required machine and support 17'' winder equipment set ups.
  • Mechanical skills to operate, set up, and trouble shoot equipment as required will also be needed.
  • Ability to operate cutter.
  • This team member will also be required to perform machine preventative maintenance on various pieces of equipment related to the carpet yarn line.
  • The technician position will require proficiency level to operate machine on a substitute basis.

  • Ability to document and maintain machine log. Reporting of quality measurements and metrics. Excellent machine set up skills.
  • Understanding of buildups and tube constructions. Cutter set up procedures.
  • Positive attitude. Excellent/strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of all LOTO requirements.
  • Initiative and ability to understand sense of urgency to meet customer requirements. Customer focused.
  • Ability to identify cost savings opportunities and communicate to management.
