Overview

The Project Coordinator intern is responsible for supporting Engineering with project planning, execution, financial performance, and production plans. The Project Coordinator intern can take the larger project plan and efficiently coordinate the sub-tasks of the larger project plan. The Project Coordinator intern should be highly analytical and focused and have a keen insight into human behavior and motivational forces. This position will help execute improvements in operational efficiency with the support of the Project Manager. This position requires the ability to read instructions represented in manuals and follow these instructions. This position exists in a temperature-controlled environment.

Responsibilities
  • Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.
  • Work closely with customers and stakeholders to define project deliverable requirements that satisfy both external and internal goals.
  • Maintain project documentation, along with administrative duties for organization of key information and details
  • Support problem solving, conflict resolution, and solution development to meet project milestones, with the goal of exceeding expectations for performance, quality, and timing.
  • Drive open issues to closure through a robust plan, do, check loop.
  • Effectively manage and communicate project tasks and commitments with team members.
  • Proactively manage scope, identify potential risks, develop, and promote contingency plans.
  • Support project manager on proposal development for new projects.
  • Be actively involved in optimizing and improving company work process and methodologies.
  • Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions.
  • Provides advisory support and assistance to the project manager as needed.
  • Responsible for supporting team targets and key performance indicators.
  • Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner.
  • Comply with Navitas policies and procedures.
  • Physical presence on the job is essential including weekends and holidays if deemed necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-5 years project coordinator experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and motivational skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to effectively persuade through data and analysis.
  • Team-based problem-solving experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Lithium-Ion battery experience preferred
  • Battery Management System and/or Software experience preferred
  • Energy storage device product development and launch experience is a plus.
