Job description

Overview:
Role: Solution Archirect
Location: Baltimore, MD
Duration: 6 months

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Exadata,Linux ,solaris
Virtualization and containerization (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes)
Networking, storage, and server technologies
Infrastructure automation and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Roles & Responsibilities
• Expert knowledge in all the infrastructure areas - Servers, Networking, Service Desk, End User computing, Tools, Automation, perform analysis in the infrastructure areas and suggest recommendations
• Experience in the tech refresh, defining standards, transformation programs
• Architecture & Design
• Design and document scalable infrastructure solutions (on-prem, cloud, hybrid).
• Define infrastructure standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools.
• Engineering & Implementation
• Lead the deployment and configuration of servers, storage, networking, and cloud services.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Ensure integration with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Operations & Optimization
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Manage capacity planning and cost optimization, especially in cloud environments.
• Collaboration & Leadership
• Work closely with software engineering, security, and operations teams.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing.
