About the Opportunity

Solaris is seeking a dedicated Electrical Procurement Engineer to join the SPS team. This individual will own all electrical equipment procurement across our active SPS data center project portfolio, managing long-lead items and OEM relationships from our Houston base.


Essential Functions

  • Full procurement ownership for switchgear, transformers, breakers, and batteries across all active SPS projects
  • Balance-of-plant (BOP) electrical procurement across 6 simultaneous sites
  • Drawing review and management of supplier submittals
  • OEM relationship management: ABB, E4A, ETI, SEL, Schneider, Eaton
  • Interface with Salas O'Brien MSA to define procurement scope boundaries
  • Long-lead order tracking and expediting across all active sites


Experience/Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field — preferred, not required. Equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
  • 5–7 years experience in electrical equipment procurement, specifically with switchgear, transformers, breakers, or similar industrial electrical equipment.
  • Electrical equipment procurement experience (switchgear, transformers, or similar)
  • Familiarity with OEM procurement processes and supplier submittals
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Preference for candidates with data center, power generation, or industrial construction background
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship requirements.
