If so, Solar Champs is seeking a versatile Journeyman Electrician or Foreman to join our rapidly growing company. We are based in the vibrant regions of Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade and are looking for someone who is proficient in handling a wide range of electrical systems, including generators, battery back-up systems, streetlights, low-voltage and high-voltage systems, and switchgears.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the installation and commissioning of diverse electrical systems, including generators, battery back-ups, streetlights, and both low and high-voltage electrical systems.
  • Perform high-quality, safe electrical work while ensuring adherence to all building standards and codes.
  • Collaborate with project managers, teams, and clients to ensure that each installation meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Handle a wide range of tasks, from trenching and running wire to installing switchgears and performing system diagnostics.
  • Ensure the safe operation of all equipment and tools, following safety protocols and regulations on all jobsites.
  • Work with the warehouse and project teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior electricians and trainees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements:

  • Proven experience and expertise in electrical systems, including streetlights, sports field lights, switchgears, and both low and high-voltage systems.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid background in reading and interpreting building plans, blueprints, and manuals to ensure accurate installations.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments, from residential homes to large commercial sites.
  • Strong physical capability to lift at least 50 pounds frequently and work at heights or in extreme conditions.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of electrical experience required, or a Journeyman Electrical License or State Certified Electrician credentials.
  • Vocational or technical school training preferred.
  • Experience working with energy systems, such as Enphase Battery, Tesla Battery, Generac Generators, and EV Charging Stations, is a bonus.
