Senior Construction Superintendent

9-Month Contract

Pay Rate: $75-$80/hr.

Project Location: Wrentham, MA

Per diem Offered along with other incentives


The Senior Construction Superintendent leads all on-site activities for commercial solar construction projects located in the Northeast US, overseeing field operations from mobilization through project closeout. This role ensures projects are delivered safely on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The Senior Construction Superintendent is a key leader for field staff, subcontractors, and vendors, acting as the primary on-site authority.


Responsibilities


  • Provide overall on-site leadership, management, and coordination of solar construction activities.
  • Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and contract documents.
  • Enforce safety compliance and lead a strong site safety culture.
  • Manage multiple subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality workmanship.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, submittal packages and schedules.
  • Ensure RFI’s are properly documented in Procore and RFI responses are provided in a timely manner to avoid schedule impacts.
  • Coordinate work sequencing and project phasing.
  • Monitor and report project progress, including daily logs, reports, and field documentation.
  • Coordinate delivery and safe storage of Valta/Owner supplied equipment.
  • Lead site coordination meetings with project stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve field issues, delays, or conflicts with minimal impact to schedule or cost.
  • Support material management, equipment logistics, and delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with Project Management to ensure smooth communication between field and office.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism on all projects.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial solar or large-scale electrical construction.
  • Must be familiar with ground mount solar
  • Must know Battery Storage. Battery energy storage is connected to the ground mount.
  • MUST be proficient in Procore and MS Office
  • Proven leadership managing crews, subcontractors, and large field operations.
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, racking, electrical interconnection, and site civil work.
  • Ability to interpret and manage construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  • OSHA 30 Certification required (or willingness to obtain).
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
