Job description

Ideematec, Inc, with its offices in Arizona, is a German provider of high-performance solar tracking systems. An international track record of over 9 GW deployed, more than 15 years of experience in the tracker field and 82+ diverse patents, Ideematec is a trusted partner in advanced solar PV tracking technology.

To expand our North American team, we are hiring a Procurement Manager to lead the purchasing efforts for our US operations (hybrid).

As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing local procurement activities within the U.S. market, focusing on project-based purchasing and supplier management. You will support Ideematec’s strategic sourcing initiatives by identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with local suppliers and subcontractors. This role plays a key part in ensuring that all materials and services for Ideematec’s U.S. solar projects are delivered on time, at the right quality, and at competitive costs — in close collaboration with the global supply chain, project management, and logistics teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and conduct project-related purchasing activities for solar tracker components in the U.S.
  • Conduct RFQs, evaluate offers, and lead commercial negotiations in line with company standards
  • Ensure material availability and timely delivery for ongoing EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects
  • Ensure compliance with relevant import/export laws, customs requirements, and company trade compliance policies
  • Support the global strategic procurement team in supplier selection, contract preparation, and framework agreements
  • Work closely with Logistics Manager and Logistics team to maintain purchase and delivery schedule for timely project execution
  • Collaborate closely with Project Management, Engineering and Quality departments to align purchasing needs
  • Monitor local market trends, price developments, and supply chain risks in the U.S. region
  • Maintain purchasing data and supplier performance records
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement and supply chain processes and cost optimization initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in procurement, ideally in the renewable energy, construction, or manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of the U.S. supplier landscape, procurement regulations, and logistics processes
  • Proven experience in project-based purchasing or EPC procurement is a strong plus
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in ERP systems and MS Office tools
  • Hands-on, structured, and proactive working style with a strong sense of ownership
  • Willingness to travel to suppliers, project sites, and company locations as required
