Description

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Surveyor to join our team. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, quality assurance/quality control, and completion of survey projects in Westwood's Power Division.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects and monitors the operational effectiveness throughout.
  • Serves as subject matter expert for survey related activities such as construction staking, topographic surveying, platting, legal description writing, boundary analysis, exhibit preparation, and legal principles.
  • Works with the Project Manager to define project tasks, schedule and resource requirements.
  • Works with Project Manager to evaluate project budget, scope, and fee.
  • Complies with and helps the enforcement of company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct team meetings with project team to evaluate and coordinate the project.
  • Stays current on service-specific trends, technology, software, hardware, and equipment.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring to project team staff as needed.
  • Responsible for quality control and quality assurance related to the survey activities on each project.
  • Ensures division, regional, and company policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.
  • Lead by example - display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.


Required Experience:

  • A professional survey license with multi-state licensure is preferred.
  • Four-year degree preferred and/or 10-plus years of experience in a consulting business.
  • Effective verbal and written communication is necessary and independent judgment is essential.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Handle multiple priorities and projects well.
