About the Opportunity
An innovative power solutions organization is seeking a Solar Project Engineer / Project Manager to support turnkey solar, CHP, and microgrid projects. This role blends engineering design, project management, and client engagement to deliver alternative energy solutions from preconstruction through closeout.

Job Duties
• Lead solar and distributed energy projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout.
• Design solar PV systems using internal tools to support design-build sales efforts.
• Evaluate solar readiness for existing and new construction facilities.
• Review incentives, financial models, and long-term system performance analysis.
• Oversee equipment selection, procurement, vendor coordination, and logistics.
• Coordinate with superintendents and field teams on schedules and site logistics.
• Track project budgets, cost reports, pay applications, and progress billing.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and suppliers on technical implementation.
• Support procurement of solar panels, inverters, and power distribution equipment.
• Contribute to master power planning including solar, CHP, and microgrid solutions.
• Assist in business development by providing technical solutions for complex projects.

Qualifications
• BS in Engineering or related field required.
• 2–5 years of project management or engineering design experience.
• Experience with solar, renewable energy, or distributed generation preferred.
• Knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, and power distribution components.
• BIM experience (Revit, AutoCAD) preferred.
• Experience developing design tools, spreadsheets, or coding scripts is a plus.
• Strong organizational, budgeting, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and client-facing experience.
