Job description

Role: Commercial Solar Installer

Position Overview: We are looking for talented, hardworking, experienced commercial solar installers. Ideal candidates will be reliable with at least one year of experience and outstanding customer service and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Install rooftop and groundmount commercial solar PV systems ranging from 100 kW to 2 MW, ensuring systems meet design specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes.
  • Work as part of a 46 person crew, collaborating to complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule while maintaining professional communication with team members and site supervisors.
  • Perform layout, racking installation, module placement, conduit runs, and wire management ensuring a clean and professional installation.
  • Work on various roof types, including pitched asphalt shingle, standing seam and corrugated metal, and flat rubber membrane (EPDM/TPO/PVC) roofs, utilizing proper safety and waterproofing techniques.
  • Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, construction drawings, and electrical schematics, ensuring accurate system layout and component placement.
  • Ensure all roof penetrations and attachments are properly flashed, sealed, and waterproofed according to manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Operate and maintain installation tools and equipment safely, including ladders, harnesses, drills, saws, and torque wrenches, ensuring tools are in good working condition and properly stored.
  • Adhere to OSHA and company safety protocols, including proper use of fall protection, PPE, lockout/tagout procedures, and ladder safety, to ensure a zeroincident work environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during installation to minimize delays and ensure project timelines are met.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor onsite, representing the company positively with clients, subcontractors, and site personnel.
  • Qualifications:
  • Roofing & framing skills
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in carpentry
  • Understanding of applicable building and safety code requirements
  • Valid driver license with a clean driving record
  • Solar installation experience
  • Salary: Range from $18.00 - $32.00 per hour

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent
