Job description

C&I Project Manager (Solar + Energy Storage)
End-to-End Ownership | Pre-Construction → Closeout

About the Role

Join a tight-knit, fast-growing team where your work actually moves the needle.

We’re looking for a driven Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Project Manager to lead solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects from early development all the way through construction and final closeout.

This is a true end-to-end ownership role—you’ll be at the center of everything, making sure projects are planned right, executed well, and delivered on time, on budget, and at a high standard of quality.

If you like solving complex problems, juggling moving pieces, and seeing tangible results from your work, you’ll feel right at home here.

???? What You’ll Do

Project Development & Pre-Construction

  • Lead early project planning including site assessments, constructability reviews, project feasibility, and execution planning
  • Coordinate engineering, design deliverables, and permitting activities
  • Ensure all project components (designs, permits, materials) are ready prior to construction
  • Align internal teams (sales, engineering, procurement) to ensure smooth project kickoff

Project Execution & Construction

  • Oversee project execution from mobilization through completion
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure work progresses on schedule
  • Monitor project performance, proactively identify risks, and resolve issues quickly
  • Maintain control over schedule, cost, quality, and safety

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide regular project updates and ensure a high-quality customer experience
  • Resolve issues, discrepancies, and change requests in a timely manner

Budget, Schedule & Performance

  • Develop and manage project schedules and key milestones
  • Track project costs, manage change orders, and maintain financial performance
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Actively understand and contribute to shaping the master project pipeline

Commissioning & Closeout

  • Oversee commissioning, system testing, and final performance verification
  • Manage punch lists and ensure all deficiencies are resolved
  • Lead project closeout including documentation, approvals, and customer handoff
✅ What Success Looks Like

• Projects delivered on time and on budget
• Seamless coordination across teams
• High-quality installations with strong performance
• Happy, informed customers throughout the process
• Risks identified early—not when they become problems

???? What You Bring

• 5+ years in project management, construction, or project engineering
• Experience with C&I solar projects (rooftop, carport, or ground-mount)
• Familiarity with BESS (big plus)
• Strong understanding of construction workflows & subcontractor management
• Ability to read electrical drawings & single-line diagrams
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, and multiple stakeholders
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

???? Work Environment

• Hybrid: field + remote
• Travel to project sites during key phases
• Hands-on exposure to construction sites, rooftops, and outdoor work

⚡ Why This Role

• Own projects from start to finish (no siloed responsibilities)
• Work on meaningful, real-world clean energy projects
• Join a growing team building scalable, high-quality operations
• Have a direct impact on how projects are delivered

???? If you’re ready to take full ownership of projects and help scale clean energy, we'd like to connect!
