Job description

Job Description The Construction Director will oversee the successful delivery of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects across multiple regions. This individual will provide leadership to a team of Construction Managers, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operations leader who excels at improving execution, developing high-performing teams, and driving consistency across a growing portfolio.

This role partners closely with development, engineering, procurement, project management, and executive leadership to remove obstacles, improve processes, and keep projects moving forward. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Construction Managers overseeing multiple active renewable energy projects. Drive accountability for safety, schedule, quality, budget, and overall project performance.

Conduct regular operational reviews to identify project risks, staffing needs, and recovery plans. Establish consistent construction processes, reporting, and performance metrics across all regions. Support project controls, forecasting, change management, and financial performance.

Ensure best-in-class safety, QA/QC, and regulatory compliance throughout construction. Build and scale construction teams to support continued company growth. Maintain strong relationships with developers, utilities, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.

Qualifications 7+ years of leadership experience managing utility-scale solar, battery storage, heavy civil, or EPC construction projects. Proven success leading multiple Construction Managers and overseeing several concurrent projects. Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, contracts, project controls, and field operations.

Demonstrated ability to build teams, improve operational performance, and solve complex construction challenges. Willingness to travel regularly to project sites and regional offices.
