Illuminate USA, located in the heart of Central Ohio, is transforming solar panel manufacturing from our cutting-edge facility in Pataskala. As a new standalone joint venture established by two global leaders in renewable energy, we've rapidly grown to over 1,600 associates and are now fully operational in our 1.1 million-square-foot factory.
Our vision is to establish one of the largest solar panel manufacturing operations in the Western Hemisphere.

The primary responsibility of this position is to use communication, knowledge, and technical skills to continuously enhance the safety of our entire team as the top priority. This position reports to the EHS Compliance Manager.
Responsibilities:
  • Support daytime staff in all areas of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security.
  • Ensure day-to-day compliance with EHS policies and new regulations.
  • Work with the manufacturing team to reduce risk levels through elimination, substitution, engineering, and controls.
  • Establish and review relevant policies and procedures for best practices and compliance.
  • Deliver EHS training programs for evening shift.
  • Work with the production and maintenance teams as well as other sites to establish best practices in safety.
  • Assist with EHS tracking and recordkeeping including the OSHA log and EHS KPIs.
  • Help establish and grow the company's safety culture and business through a commitment to communication, trust, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in Job Safety Analyses, Incident Investigations, and other programs to serve and improve the safety of our team.
  • Knowledge of and experience with ISO 14001 and 45001

Qualifications:
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Health and Safety, or Engineering along with 1-3 years of work experience or 5+ years of relevant work experience without a Bachelor's degree.
  • Possess the desire and attitude to implement measures to improve our team's safety.
  • Must have the ability to communicate and listen to the needs of our production and maintenance associates.
  • Maintains a positive attitude and displays proactive habits.
  • Servant leadership ability to help make our team better.
