Traveling Solar Laborer

Location: Surround Denver Area plus Montana

Pay: $20โ€“$40/hr with Per Diem for Travel for Montana Job

Travel: All travel expenses paid (lodging, mileage, per diem)

Schedule: Projectโ€‘based assignments, fullโ€‘time hours during projects

Overview

This Traveling Solar Laborer position supports utilityโ€‘scale solar farms and commercial solar installation projects by performing handsโ€‘on site labor, equipment support, and arrayโ€‘field maintenance. Ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, outdoor environments, and traveling to different solar project sites across the country.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with installation of solar racking systems, panels, and hardware
  • Perform general labor tasks such as trenching, site cleanup, material staging, and equipment handling
  • Support mechanical assembly of solar arrays, torqueing, and alignment
  • Operate or assist with basic construction equipment (lifts, skid steers, torque tools)
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on solar fields (panel washing, vegetation clearing, minor repairs)
  • Set up temporary site infrastructure including fencing, laydown areas, and safety zones
  • Follow all safety procedures including electrical safety, fall protection, and PPE requirements
  • Travel to project sites for multiโ€‘day or multiโ€‘week assignments
  • Complete additional labor duties as directed by project supervisors
Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in solar installation, construction, general labor, or mechanical assembly preferred
  • Ability to lift 50โ€“75 lbs and perform physically demanding outdoor work
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain
  • Willingness to travel frequently for extended project assignments
  • Strong reliability, work ethic, and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn and operate torque tools, lifts, and basic construction equipment
  • Valid driverโ€™s license required
  • OSHA 10, equipment certifications, or solar experience a plus
Pay & Schedule
