Field Service Technician, Solar and Battery Storage

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support solar and battery storage systems across multiple field locations. In this role, you will travel regularly to manage work requests, perform equipment inspections, and execute maintenance with minimal oversight in a fast-paced, startup environment. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in electro-mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of solar panels, battery storage systems, and related equipment. You have strong technical judgment, a high standard for quality, and the ability to prioritize and execute across multiple tasks.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Troubleshoot and repair solar and battery storage systems, including electrical and mechanical components
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of solar panels, inverters, and battery storage units
  • Operate specialized tools and equipment for solar and battery system installations and repairs
  • Manage field-based projects and oversee contractors and third-party work
  • Create and implement standard work instructions (SWIs) for field service tasks
  • Complete daily task lists and respond to field service work requests
  • Address general electro-mechanical issues related to solar and battery systems
  • Work cross-functionally with operations teams to support growth and continuous improvement goals

Desired Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair, preferably in solar or battery storage systems
  • Strong background in electrical systems and mechanical maintenance
