Position Specific Description

This position sits within NextEra Energy's Power Generation (PGD). This individual will perform daily activities related but not limited to heavy equipment operations and maintenance, site vegetation maintenance, and overall site support for solar operations. This position will require about 20-30% travel. 

Relevant skills are included but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrated safety behaviors and values
  • Preventative Maintenance on Industrial Vehicles
  • Mowing on Solar Fields
  • Weed Management Inside Substation/ Inverter Pads / Common / BESS Yards
  • Interaction with Routine Contractors / Vendors
  • Heavy Equipment / Vehicle Operations
  • Trailer Loading & Tie Down
  • Road / Gate / General Building Maintenance
  • Working with herbicides 
  • Daily Duties as Assigned

Additional duties may Include : 

  • Being medically cleared and required to wear a respirator 

The focus of the job is to support site operations with daily maintenance activities in solar and BESS fields. Personnel will be executing routine tasks of vegetation maintenance along with heavy equipment operation. Seasonal support on winterization and summer readiness preventative maintenance.

Job Overview

The main focus of the job is to perform mirror and HCE tube cleaning. The position is part of a six-man crew. The team will have to be proficient in operating the mirror-washing equipment, including tractor operation, water truck operation, and mirror-washing brush equipment. When mirror wash cannot be accomplished, the team will be utilized to perform site clean-up or minor maintenance on mirror wash equipment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Washing of Mirror Panels with mirror washing equipment
  • Washing of Heat collecting elements with washing equipment
  • Perform minor repairs on washing equipment as needed
  • Perform site clean-up when 
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • High School Grad / GED
  • Experience: 0+ years
  • Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
