Title: Equipment Technician
Location: Cartersville, GA
Classification: Hourly
SUMMARY
Qcells is seeking motivated Equipment Technicians to support our advanced solar manufacturing facility in Cartersville, GA. In this role, you will maintain and troubleshoot production equipment used to manufacture solar products including ingots, wafers, cells, and modules.
Technicians play a key role in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently while supporting production teams and continuous improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical or electrical experience who want to grow their careers in advanced manufacturing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime
  • Inspect, test, and adjust machine components to maintain performance
  • Support production teams during equipment issues or process troubleshooting
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Work collaboratively with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, or industrial equipment maintenance
  • Ability to use hand tools and basic diagnostic equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Technical training or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical, or electrical fields
  • Experience in manufacturing, automation, or industrial environments
  • Familiarity with PLC systems, robotics, or automated equipment
  • Cleanroom or high-precision manufacturing experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish or Korean) is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Manufacturing facility with automated equipment and machinery
  • Required use of PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe footwear
  • Shift work may include nights, weekends, and holidays depending on production needs
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
