Job description

Position Overview:
This position will be based out of our Centennial, CO location.
Photon Brothers is looking for a Lead / Senior Project Manager to join our team on a temporary basis (4 to 6 months from date of hire). Project Managers are responsible for ensuring the success of residential PV projects by collaborating with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Customers. They take over projects once a sale has closed and drive them through to successful completion.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage residential PV projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring on-time delivery, within budget, and meeting quality standards
  • Conduct thorough project assessments and develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, resource allocation, risk management, and communication strategies
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to define project requirements, deliverables, and expectations
  • Collaborate with the sales team to review customer contracts and specifications, ensuring alignment with project objectives and technical feasibility
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance during the design phase to optimize PV system performance and meet local regulations and codes
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost control measures are implemented throughout the project lifecycle
  • Establish project schedules, milestones, and critical paths, and proactively monitor and adjust plans to meet objectives
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
  • Monitor project risks, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, providing clear direction, assigning responsibilities, and fostering collaboration
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and permitting requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, homeowners, suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
  • Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes related to residential PV

Requirements
  • BA in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent job experience
  • 6+ years proven experience in project management with customer-facing communication, overseeing the installation of solar energy systems
  • 3+ years experience in the solar industry, preferably residential
  • Strong knowledge of residential PV technologies, system design, and installation practices
  • PMP highly desirable
  • Proven ability to develop project plans and schedules
  • Ability to motivate team members to reach objectives on time and as scheduled
  • Advanced ability to troubleshoot and lead team members to a successful outcome
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to appropriately address issues as they arise

Pay for this position is $33.65-$40.87 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime opportunities may be available depending on seasonality and business needs.
This full-time role is eligible to participate in health (one plan is less than $35 per pay check!), dental, and vision insurance. Photon Brothers also offers a 401k with match, as well as company-sponsored life insurance and telehealth. Paid holidays and PTO are also offered with this position.
This role will be posted until September 11, 2026 at a minimum, or until the role is filled.

The pay range for this role is:
33.65 - 40.87 USD per hour (Centennial)
