Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Solar Installer and be at the forefront of renewable energy innovation! In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing photovoltaic (solar) systems on residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Your expertise will help accelerate the transition to clean energy while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on every project. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-growing industry dedicated to sustainable solutions.
Duties
Install photovoltaic solar systems, including mounting panels, wiring, and fixture installation on rooftops and ground-mounted sites
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure precise system setup
Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve system issues efficiently
Follow electrical safety procedures in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements
Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as forklifts safely and effectively during installation tasks
Coordinate with roofing teams and other construction professionals to ensure seamless integration of solar systems with existing structures
Conduct electrical blueprint reading and schematics analysis for accurate system configuration
Maintain compliance with all safety regulations, including NFPA 70 standards for high voltage and low voltage electrical work
Experience
Proven experience working as a solar technician or in a related electrical role within the renewable energy sector
Commercial electrician experience preferred, with knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems
Strong background in electrical diagnostics, blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation
Construction site experience, including roofing or general construction work, is highly desirable
Familiarity with electrical safety procedures, NFPA 70 compliance standards, and working on onshore renewable energy projects
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, plumbing fixtures, and roofing equipment safely and efficiently
Experience working with photovoltaic system installation projects from start to finish is a plus
