Solar Installation/Service Technician – Oasis Electrical/Sun Collectors (Central Illinois)

Oasis Electrical/Sun Collectors provides solar energy solutions for residential, commercial, and agricultural customers across Central Illinois. We are looking for a Solar Installation/Service Technician to help install and maintain high-quality solar systems.


What you’ll do

  • Install, maintain, and repair rooftop solar panel systems according to NEC guidelines.
  • Work on low-voltage electrical systems and handle components safely.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and voltmeters to install and troubleshoot systems.
  • Conduct site assessments to determine optimal panel placement for energy production.
  • Troubleshoot inverters and resolve issues with production loss.
  • Complete RMAs and project documentation accurately.


What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience in solar installation or a related electrical field.
  • Familiarity with Enphase or SolarEdge (Hoymiles a plus).
  • Ability to read and understand electrical plans, layouts, and basic schematics.
  • Comfortable working on ladders, roofs, and in confined areas, following safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a team-first attitude.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and grow in the solar industry.
