Job description

Job Overview:
Job Summary**
The Electrician Foreman will lead and supervise a team of electricians on solar energy projects, specifically within the "Cider" division, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient electrical installations from ground-up construction to final commissioning. This role requires extensive electrical experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and project timelines.
Job Responsibilities**
* Supervise and mentor a team of electricians, apprentices, and laborers on solar farm construction sites.
* Plan, lay out, and oversee all aspects of electrical installations, including conduit bending, cable pulling, wire termination, and equipment hook-ups (inverters, transformers, switchgear, etc.).
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to ensure compliant installations.
* Conduct daily safety meetings, enforce safety protocols, and ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.
* Perform quality control inspections of electrical work, identifying and rectifying any deficiencies.
* Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to ensure smooth project progression.
* Manage and track material usage, equipment, and tools on site.
* Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
* Prepare daily reports on progress, challenges, and resource utilization.
* Train and develop team members, fostering a skilled and productive workforce.
* Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulations.
Job Qualifications**
* Valid Journeyman Electrician license (or equivalent certification) required. Master Electrician license preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed electrician, with at least 2 years in a foreman or supervisory role, preferably in renewable energy or heavy industrial construction.
* Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant electrical standards.
* Proven experience with large-scale electrical installations, including AC/DC systems, medium voltage, and grounding.
* Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to safety and ability to enforce safety regulations effectively.
* Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment (multimeters, megohmmeters, etc.).
* Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
* OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* Ability to travel and work on projects across various locations as required.
