Job description

The AC Installer III will be responsible for all assigned tasks required to successfully install energy conservation projects including, but not limited to, ensuring a clean and prepared jobsite and assisting other Installers and Foreman with equipment assembly and installations, particularly AC wiring and gear. The AC installer III must work in the safest possible manner, following all National Electrical Code and local Code guidelines, OSHA guidelines, and Centrica Business Solutions processes, procedures, and practices.

Our AC Installer III contributes to the team by:

  • Performing a variety of tasks involving the use of hand tools, power tools and equipment used to complete the installation of commercial electrical projects
  • Properly installing AC electrical equipment from the inverter to and including the AC interconnection within the guidelines of manufacturers instructions and Centrica’s Quality Management Plan (QMP)
  • Properly installing data acquisition system, communications, and metering devices
  • Completing all work in the safest possible manner and according to National Electrical Code (NEC) and local code guidelines

The core components needed to be successful in this role are (i.e. must haves):

  • 4+ Years of Commercial Electrical experience
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans
  • Understanding of the equipment layout and assembly of a system
  • Complete understanding of AC and communication conduit systems and circuits
  • Proficiency in bending, anchoring and securing conduit up to 4 inches
  • Complete understanding of 3-phase wire terminations and connections within AC equipment and gear
  • Understanding of how to properly use a multimeter
  • Osha 10
  • Scissor Lift Certification
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Active Driver’s License and clean driving record (Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals without an active driver’s license. It is the responsibility of the individual to ensure they have reliable transportation to get to and from the job site each day)

This is not your average 9am – 5pm position. If you are someone who enjoys traveling and seeing new places this job is for you! Our AC Installers need to have scheduling flexibility with an ability to travel to different jobsites. Monday through Friday travel is routinely required.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $32.00-$36.00/hr + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, commission, or benefits.
