POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

Moss' Solar Civil Field Engineers are responsible for assisting the Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents with the day-to-day operations for solar construction projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand the civil scope of work for the assigned project and ensure all grading and closeout tasks are in alignment with approved plans
  • Establish daily goals with assigned crews
  • Maintain documentation and prepare project inspection reports
  • Work closely with Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents to ensure all environmental action items are executed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical field, or related discipline
  • 6 months - 2 years' experience in the solar construction industry, civil, grading, land surveying or related experience
  • Must have great attitude in working with the Moss team

JOB TITLE: SOLAR CIVIL FIELD ENGINEER

JOB LOCATION: LOUISIANA, TEXAS - MULTI-STATE, REQUIRES HIGH TRAVEL

CLASSIFICATION: FULL TIME - EXEMPT - SALARIED

REPORTS TO: CIVIL SUPERINTENDENT

This position requires frequent physical activity in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds and may occasionally be required to handle loads exceeding that amount with assistance. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, elevated work areas, loud noise levels, and extreme temperatures. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.
