About Exact Solar

Unlike many companies in our industry, we perform virtually all work in-house and invest heavily in training, safety, and employee development. We are proud of the team and culture we have built and are committed to creating long-term careers for talented professionals who share our values.
As our commercial solar and energy storage business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Master Electrician to help support our expanding field operations, strengthen our technical leadership, and help develop the next generation of electricians within our organization.
Position Overview
This is a senior field leadership role for an experienced Master Electrician who enjoys a combination of hands-on electrical work, technical problem solving, mentoring, quality control, and team development.
You will work closely with our existing Master Electrician, commercial operations leadership team, project managers, and field crews to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of workmanship.
This position is not intended to replace existing leadership. Rather, we are looking for an experienced professional who can bring additional expertise, bandwidth, and mentorship as our commercial project portfolio continues to expand.
The ideal candidate is a servant leader who takes pride in helping others succeed, enjoys sharing knowledge, and believes that safety, quality, and professionalism should never be compromised.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership for commercial solar, battery energy storage, EV charging, and related electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Support field crews with electrical installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and problem resolution.
  • Serve as a technical resource for project managers, foremen, apprentices, and developing electricians.
  • Help maintain and elevate company standards for safety, quality, workmanship, and code compliance.
  • Mentor and train apprentices, installers, and junior electricians.
  • Perform field quality inspections and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Assist with project planning, constructability reviews, and execution strategies.
  • Support electrical commissioning, startup, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Coordinate with inspectors, utilities, customers, engineers, and AHJs as needed.
  • Help develop and improve company electrical standards, training programs, safety procedures, and best practices.
  • Serve as a floating technical leader across multiple commercial projects throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Qualifications
Required
  • Current Master Electrician License.
  • Minimum 10 years of commercial electrical experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Experience with commercial power distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, service equipment, feeders, and controls.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical plans, one-line diagrams, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing electricians.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred
  • Commercial solar PV experience.
  • Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) experience.
  • EV charging infrastructure experience.
  • NABCEP certification.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience working directly with utilities, inspections, and commissioning activities.
  • Experience supporting multiple concurrent commercial projects.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking someone who:
  • Leads by example.
  • Takes pride in producing exceptional work.
  • Places safety above speed.
  • Enjoys teaching and mentoring others.
  • Builds trust through professionalism and humility.
  • Solves problems collaboratively.
  • Wants to help strengthen and grow a highly respected organization.
The right candidate understands that great leadership is not about authority—it is about helping others become more capable, more confident, and more successful.
Compensation & Benefits
Exact Solar offers a highly competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications, including:
  • Competitive salary
  • Performance incentives
  • Health benefits
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Retirement plan participation
  • Company vehicle opportunities
  • Ongoing professional development and training
  • Long-term career growth opportunities
