• Conduct individualized and group therapy sessions tailored to address the emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges faced by clients within a rehabilitation context.
• Perform thorough assessments to gauge mental health needs, crafting personalized treatment plans with achievable goals that align with clients' rehabilitation efforts.
• Advocate for clients and connect them with essential community resources and support systems to bolster their ongoing recovery and overall welfare.
• Provide immediate emotional support and crisis intervention when required, ensuring the stability and safety of clients in vulnerable situations.
• Keep detailed and confidential client records, progress notes, and treatment plans in strict compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals—including physical therapists and nurses—to integrate care strategies and improve client outcomes.
• Educate clients and their families on the emotional aspects of rehabilitation, teaching effective coping strategies and self-care techniques to facilitate smoother adjustments.
• Engage in community outreach and networking initiatives to enhance referral resources and build meaningful partnerships within the local community.

The clients you will work with are individuals recovering from various health challenges who require emotional and psychological support throughout their rehabilitation. This role demands an empathetic approach to counseling, focusing on empowering clients to overcome their struggles and build resilience.

• A current license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) valid in Colorado.
• A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling or a related mental health field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an aptitude for establishing rapport with clients.
