The Health Services Director (RN, LVN, or LPN) position requires a caring nature and willingness to care for the elderly.Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to appropriately delegate responsibility with necessary authority without relinquishing overall responsibility and accountability for the delegated task.Demonstrated ability to identify problems in a timely manner, develop effective resolutions to those problems and ensure implementation of the proposed resolution, confirm results and revise as necessary.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Implements interim service plans in partnership with the Resident Care Coordinator as care needs change and assures all Med Aides/ Licensed Nurses are in-servicedProvide oversight and required documentation for third-party providers for coordination of careConduct routine audits amongst other departments as directed by the Executive DirectorImplement systems and protocols per company standards along with state, federal, and industry regulations while remaining compliant. To include but not limited to Infection Control Practices, Assessments, Resident monitoring.Maintain compliance practices per state, federal, industry, and company regulations and have ongoing knowledge on regulation updates and changes.Becomes familiar with the service plan program and all of the reports it can createOrders incontinent supplies as well as durable medical equipment as needed.Assures home health, hospice and ancillary care providers communicates their visits and provides necessary documentation of their visitCompletes MAR auditsMonitors the medication room to assure organization and cleanlinessAssists with tracking and recording incident reports. Assures the incident investigations are completed.Works as manager of the day as directed by Executive DirectorMaintains a monthly budget for the Health Services departmentMaintains and tracks that all health services staff have the necessary training required for their job such as CPR, First Aid, and dementia training, if applicableFull staff management responsibilities for healthcare staff including hiring, training, performance reviews, counseling and discharge, if necessary.Complete delegation training, assessments and documentation per state guidelines.Ensure compliance with clinical budget in all aspects: staffing and suppliesOn-call for clinical support to the community and staffing to cover shifts if the need should arise.Other tasks as assignedFrontier Senior Living offers a competitive salary and a work environment that encourages initiative and fosters respect.
